Each year, Mr. and Mrs. Claus arrive at the Northglenn Recreation Center to help turn the city's holiday lights on as part of Noel Northglenn.

No matter the season, the city of Northglenn has plenty of opportunities to enjoy the water. The city provides opportunities for lessons, fitness classes, swim teams, certifications, rental opportunities for parties and plenty of time for fun in the pool.

A schedule and registration opportunity for all of the city's aquatics classes and programs can be accessed by going to the city's RecXpress Web site.

Northglenn Recreation Center Pool

The Northglenn Recreation Center is open year-round at 11801 Community Center Drive, complete with swimming lanes and a diving board.

Entry into the recreation center provides access to the pool.

Costs to the recreation center are:
  • 4 and under: Free
  • 4-12: resident, $2.25; non-resident, $2.75
  • 13-17: resident, $2.75; non-resident, $3.25
  • Adult: resident, $3.50; non-resident, $4.25
  • 62 and up: resident, $2.50; non-resident, $3.50

The pool also hosts drop-in fitness classes.

  • Kiwanis Pool

    Kiwanis Pool, an outside facility, is located at 550 Garland Drive and is open from May through Labor Day.

    Open swim hours are:
    • Mon-Thurs, 12:30-4 p.m.
    • Friday, 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
    • Weekend, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

    Costs are:
    • 4 and under: resident, $1.50; non-resident $2
    • 5-17: resident, $2.50; non-resident, $3
    • Adult: resident, $3.50; non-resident, $4
    • 62 and up: resident, $2.50; non-resident, $3.50
    • Family of four: resident, $8.50; non-resident, $10.50

    Lessons and programs are also available at Kiwanis Pool in the morning and evening.

    Swim Teams

    The city of Northglenn has two swim teams: the Snappers and Fusion.

    The Snappers is a recreation swimming program offered to youth ages 6 to 18 years old with limited competitive swimming experience, although they must have basic knowledge of swimming freestyle, the backstroke and breaststroke.

    The Fusion is a competitive swim team with more advanced swimming prowess, affiliated with USA Swimming. For more information, go to the Northglenn Fusion Web site.
