Art Camps
The City of Northglenn is pleased to welcome the acclaimed art education program - Young Rembrandts to teach art mini-camps for ages 5-12.
Jr. Cartoon Mini-Camp
Ages 5-7
Students will love this cartoon-themed camp. They will learn fundamental drawing skills that will allow them to create their own magnificent cartoon drawings. On Day 1, students will create animal characters with lots of style and personality. On Day 2, students will learn how to draw expressions. And on Day 3, the students will take familiar objects and transform them into expressive cartoon characters. Pencils, Sharpies™ and markers will be used.

Teddy bears galore! Join the craze for personalized teddy bears by drawing your favorite bear in a variety of outfits. Ahoy mates! Join us as we explore the world of pirates with new drawing adventures! Pirates, treasure maps, sunken treasures, parrots, a grand pirate ship and more will inspire us as we draw, using cartoon and realistic drawing techniques. KITE Kids’ Interactive Theatre Experience

Using your imagination was never so much fun! Join us for a great journey using our minds, bodies, some costumes, and props as we enjoy dramatic games and activities. New Mysterious Masks!
Ages 9-15
The art of masked acting has been a fun and vital part of theatre history. In this class we will spend time both designing and constructing our own masks and then using them in a variety of scenes. Each week is a different discipline including Greek Masks, Comedia Del’Arte, and Fantasy. Final class will be a stage presentation of our work! Previous acting experience recommended. Taught by NYT Assistant Director, Rachel Brazell.

Acting Up! Performing Arts Drama Camp

A popular tradition, this youth production camp is for the natural born actor. On day one, campers will choose their script/play to work on for the duration of camp. The camp will culminate in two public performances at the D.L. Parsons Theatre. (3 weeks)

Rockin’ Rockets SpaceTime Science Camp
Ages 6-12
Our most popular camp EVER!!! Over the course of five days you will do just about everything there is to do with rockets short of riding one into space. You will experience their history from the earliest rockets built 2,000 years ago to the kinds of rockets being launched today as well as go hands-on to learn some of the science behind how they fly. And while you’re learning you will be having SERIOUS COSMIC FUN building and launching two different kinds of rockets (that you get to keep), blasting off fleets of rockets simultaneously, feeling the thrill of a human gravity assist, experiencing the speed of rocket flight in 3D, and much more.
