Candlelight Vigil
Officer Jeremy Lund lights a candle for Sergeant Steve Garrow in preparation for a unity of officers showing their support of officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty. The candlelight vigil has become a yearly event, held at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park during National Police Week in mid May.

| new water rates |
The city of Northglenn is committed to maintaining and upgrading its water system and infrastructure.
To ensure that residents and businesses continue to receive quality water service, it is sometimes necessary to review and adjust utility rates.
Customers will notice a difference in their August utility bill, as changes in the rates went into effect June 28.
The new residential water usage rates id as follows:
Tier 1 - $1.30 per 1,000 gallons First 3,000 gallons
Tier 2 - $3.44 per 1,000 gallons 4,000 to 10,000 gallons
Tier 3 - $4.12 per 1,000 gallons 11,000 to 20,000 gallons
Tier 4 - $6.02 per 1,000 gallons More than 21,000 gallons
The sewer usage rate has changed to $3.31 per thousand gallons. Monthly sewer charges are based on the monthly water consumption average from November to February.
Each month a trained meter technician electronically collects water meter reads while driving through the city. Any reading outside the normal pattern is investigated prior to billing and readings are rechecked.
Each residence is charged a minimum of $9.65 for water charges and $9.93 for sewer fees. This helps maintain the infrastructure and ensure that water service is available when residents need it.
To pay their utility bill, residents can still pay at City Hall, mail in a check, use the NEXT service or pay the utility bill online.
For any questions about the new water rates and how they affect you, please call the citys utility billing and customer service line at 303-450-8770.
