Northglenn Recreation Center
The Northglenn Recreation Center is a hub for events and activities in Northglenn.

Recreation Center

The Northglenn Recreation Center is a 40,500-square-foot multi-purpose facility and is the home for the city's recreation programs and services. The recreation center consists of four multi-purpose rooms, a gymnasium, a weight room, a pool, two racquetball courts and a 300-seat performance theatre. The recreation center is easily accessible from numerous hotels, Interstate 25 and the RTD Wagon Road park-N-Ride.

Construction Work at Northglenn Recreation Center

The Northglenn Recreation Center will have periodic room closures during the upcoming months to allow for the installation of the new HVAC system and roof. The water damage to the gymnasium floor has been repaired.

This $1.7 million project was funded through a $500,000 Adams County grant, $925,000 from the Conservation Trust Fund and $275,000 from Adams County Open Space.

All portions of the building that are not affected by construction will remain open.

The gymnasium was the first area where construction took place. Floor repairs occurred in April, and ventilation improvements will occur in May. During this time, most regular program offerings will be relocated, either to other areas of the building or off-site.

SilverSneakers classes and evening Zumba will be held at Crossroads Church, 10451 Huron St. Most other fitness classes will take place in one of the recreation center's classrooms.

The Northglenn Senior Center will move to the Maintenance & Operations Building, 12301 Claude Court, from May 22 to June 21.

A complete listing of alternate program locations is available at the front desk of the recreation center, or by calling 303-450-8800.

The installation of the new roof and HVAC system will continue through the end of September, with construction taking place in one area of the building at a time.

A draft schedule is indicated below, although minor adjustments may occur as a result of construction variability. An updated schedule will be available at the front desk of the recreation center throughout the construction process.
Thank you for your patience and consideration during this renovation.
