Trash FAQ
Trash is not collected on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. If your trash day falls on one of these holidays, your trash will be picked up on the next business day.
Your trash may have been overweight, not out on time, too close to a vehicle or not properly prepared. The city has rules and regulations that we ask our residents to follow to allow safe and efficient service. Click here for printable version of those rules and regulations. Make sure your cart is out by 7 a.m. on your trash day. Ensure that cars are not obstructing your trash.
To report service problems please call 303.450.4004 on your collection day or by noon the following business day.

Northglenn provides trash and recycling services to single family homes only. Businesses and commercial property owners are responsible for contracting with an independent commercial provider. Office hours for the division are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Trash carts are the private property of the resident, but they are warrantied by the manufacturer for 10 years against the wear and tear from trash truck equipment. Lids are warrantied for 12 years. If carts are outside the warranty period, new carts or lids may be purchased. Call 303.450.4004 to find out if carts are still under warranty and to make arrangements for a new cart or lid.
Trash carts belong to the resident who purchased them and can be taken by them when they leave. Blue-lid recycle carts are city property, and they should be left behind for the next resident.
