    Members Sought for Sustainability Committee

    The saying goes “Think Globally, Act Locally.” If you're thinking about helping the environment, you can act by joining the city's Sustainability Committee.

    Devoted, knowledgeable and passionate people are sought to partner with city staff in this group. They advise City Council on all matters related to sustainability, especially the environment.

    Some of Northglenn's sustainability achievements so far include:

    • Creating and now implementing an Energy Action Plan with assistance from Xcel Partners in Energy
    • Obtaining a grant for a vehicle charging station to be installed at the city’s Maintenance & Operations Facility
    • Starting a waste optimization study to look at ways to improve resident waste services and increase landfill diversion
