The Northglenn VALE (Victim Assistance Law Enforcement) Board will not be accepting grant applications for 2023, and is hopeful to resume in 2024.
Grants are available to all nonprofit organizations that assist crime victims or provide crime prevention programs. Preference will be given to those organizations serving Northglenn residents.
The application deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31. (Applications must be received or postmarked by the deadline date.)
City Council created VALE in 1990 to enhance victim assistance, crime prevention, and law enforcement programs in their efforts to assist victims and witnesses of criminal violations. As part of that purpose, the City also established a VALE Account. It receives funding from a variety of citations issued by the Northglenn Police Department. Applications are located at www.northglenn.org/vale. All requests will be submitted to the VALE Board for evaluation and approval.
