Lawnmower Exchange Paired With Dumpster Day

Sat., July 13, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Maintenance & Operations Facility, 12301 Claude Court

Dumpster Day

Trash carts can handle daily disposal needs, but sometimes you need a dumpster for those big and awkward items.

Dumpster Day allows Northglenn residents to conveniently clear up their garage, toss out old furniture and dispose of items that can’t fit in a trash cart. Just drive on over and dump your stuff in.

Some of the accepted items include carpet, fencing, furniture, exercise and sports equipment, and more!

Prohibited items include tires, concrete, electronics, wet paint, dirt, sod, chemicals, mattresses, box springs and freon-charged appliances. For ways to dispose of these items, go to www.northglenn.org/altwaste.

For more on Dumpster Day, go to www.northglenn.org/dumpsterday or call 303.450.4004.

RAQC Mower Exchange Event

The city and the Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC) are hosting a mower exchange. Northglenn residents who bring a gas-powered lawn mower can trade it for a $150 voucher towards a new rechargeable or corded electric-powered lawn mower.

134 vouchers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one voucher is available per residence. Please drain the oil and gas from the old mowers before exchanging.

Ace Hardware is partnering with the exchange and will be on-site with electric mowers available for purchase (with or without a voucher), and mower pricing will already include the 30% state credit.

For more about the mower exchange, contact Mara Owen at 303.450.8722 or mowen@northglenn.org.
