Day Lifeguard
Regular Part Time 10+ hrs/week, training provided, starting at $16.88/hr
Applicants of all ages welcome.

Assures the safe use of swimming pool facilities by observing pool customers, enforcing pool rules and regulations and providing emergency/first aid services. May teach swimming lessons under the direction of Lifeguard/Instructor or Head Lifeguard. Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and must first pass a swim test and an oral board interview before being enrolled in training. Non-Certified Applicants will be enrolled in the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Program.  Upon successful completion, applicants will receive the Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. Ages 15+.

Seasonal Lifeguard - Training Provided
Seasonal/Temporary, starting at $16.88/hr

Lifeguards ensure the safe use of swimming pool facilities by observing pool customers, enforcing pool rules and regulations, and providing emergency/first aid services.  Must be able to work through the end of August.   Schedule will vary – approximately 25-40 hours/week and will include nights, weekends, and holidays. Ages 15+.

Seasonal Park Ranger
Seasonal/Temporary, $20.43/hr

The Seasonal Park Ranger position is responsible for park regulation enforcement work, routine park maintenance, park patrol, and visitor safety at E.B. Rains, Jr. Memorial Park.  Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Ages 18+.

Seasonal Specialist - Parks Maintenance
Seasonal/Temporary, $16.49/hr

The Seasonal Specialist - Parks Maintenance position includes semi-skilled manual labor duties in areas such as tractor operation, horticulture, irrigation, or sports field maintenance. Ages 18+.

Seasonal Laborer - Parks
Seasonal/Temporary, $18.57/hr

Seasonal Laborer position for the Northglenn Parks Division includes basic manual labor duties, such as operating mowers, trimmers, edgers, and hand tools. Ages 18+.

Seasonal Youth Sports Instructor

The Seasonal Youth Sports Instructor position entails teaching children ages 3-10 the fundamentals of a wide variety of sports offered by the City of Northglenn's Recreation programs. Applicants will be umpiring and coaching youth sports games for ages 6-10, along with scorekeeping for adult sports leagues as needed. Ages 16+.

Independent Contractor Positions
The City's Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture regularly hires independent contractors in all areas of the department including sports, fitness, art, and more.

Application Process
If you would like to propose a class or workshop, please fill out the class proposal form.  Proposals need to be submitted at least 6 months in advance of each season.  If you are not sending a proposal and want to be considered for an existing program, please send us your resume, portfolio or marketing materials, and references.  All documents must be submitted to the appropriate Coordinator below.
