Youth & Teen Programs

Northglenn's Youth and Teen Programs offer a variety of activities and events to teens ages 10-17.  All programs and events are open to both residents and non-residents.

Ages 10-13, 13-17
Take trips to fun destinations taking place this summer!  Daily trip registration is $45R/$50NR.  Age group 10-13 is full, space still available for age 13-17.  Complete schedule of trip destinations will be released in May.  Payment plan for full summer registrations available.  Check it out here.

Fun in the Park
Ages 10-17
Join us for fun, games, crafts, and friends every Friday! Select as many or as few days as you would like.  Don't forget to bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and sunscreen.  Transportation to and from the Northglenn Recreation Center is available. Park locations rotate as outlined in the schedule below.

Summer Drop-In Week
Ages 10-17
Get ready for an unforgettable week of summer with a variety of supervised drop-in activities! Bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and sunscreen.  Ages 12 and up will be able to use the pool and gym without staff supervision.

College Tour Trips
Ages 13-19, and Parents
Want to check out local colleges on your own or with your parents? Check out these college tour trips! We will either guide you through campuses or request a guided group tour. Transportation is provided to and from the Northglenn Recreation Center. Bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and sunscreen.

Youth After School Experience
Grades 6-8
REGISTER EARLY FOR FALL 2024! Get a head start on planning after school care for your middle-school student in the fall.  Daily fee registration is $5R/$6NR or get a discount for a full week at $16R/$19NR.  Payment plan for full week registrations available.  Check it out here.

Ages 10-17
Have some fun playing local pick-up competitive games!  Play on our PS5, xBox S, Nintendo Switch, or gaming laptops. Bringing your own login to your preferred consoles is encouraged.

Table Top Game Days
Ages 10-17
Gather for some fun pen-and-paper games lead by a local game master!  Test out a new game world including Dungeons and Dragons, Dishonored, Cyberpunk, Honey Heist, and more.  Snacks and drinks provided.

Youth & Teen Volunteering
Leaders in Training
Ages 13-15
Teen Volunteers develop leadership, job training and mentorship skills through active service learning on a team.  Volunteers will explore communication and conflict resolution techniques and develop personal goals. Due to limited space availability, this program is selective.

Youth & Teen Drop-In Activities
A Recreation Center membership or daily drop-in fee gets youth and teens access to a variety of non-structured activities every day of the week.  Ages 11 and under must be supervised by a parent/guardian at least 16 years of age.  Ages 12 and older may participate without a parent/guardian present.
