The Goats Are Coming Baaaaack!

The goats are returning to Oscar Arnold Nature Area!

150 of these weed-eating machines will arrive April 21 and will continue to graze until May 15.

Goats provide a more sustainable method to carry out the city’s Open Space Management Plan. They eliminate the need for mowing, prefer eating weeds over grass, and their naturally-produced fertilizer helps feed and improve the ecosystem.

The public is asked to stay away from the goats except for the Live Goat Encounter (see below for more details).

Live Goat Encounter

Sun., May 12, 12-4 p.m., Northwest Open Space, 2100 W. 112th Ave.

Not only will you be able to mingle with the goats, we’ll also have various wildlife to view and interact with. The best part? Cost is free! Just come over and have some fun!
